Hello to all my new friends,
First let me say how much I appreciated getting to know each of you. You each had a profound effect on my life and gave me a whole new perspective on life. You each helped me in some way to get over the difficulties of the previous 5 years and become stronger physically and emotionally. With you I found out I can lead an active life and enjoy life instead of just vegetating. So, may each of you accept my sincere thanks.
Because of the growth you aided in I decided to sell my home and begin traveling instead of moving into an assisted living facility.

I signed the papers to sell my home on January 4th so in approximately 30 days I will be off. I had originally planned to start my odyssey in Baja but I am now undecided. I may go the Florida for a while first. No matter where I go thoughts of you all will go with me.

John and I think about our experience very often. It is still even so indescribable. I get so excited while telling friends and family about our adventure. So many fond memories from the scenery, the culture, the people and especially the whales. Everything was so perfect and unique; paradise. It sure has left us wanting more.
Anyway Rae, we simply can't thank you enough for creating an opportunity like this. It was my dream to swim with the whales and I feel so lucky that it has now become a reality!
Look forward to seeing you again one day...

"Each day offered new insights into the life of the glorious whales - from the fledging attempts to learn of the baby calf, the antics of the young male. the courting rights off the couple, the protective care of the mother and her watchful escort, to the full song and majestic swing of the adults in rhythm through the open ocean.

Dear Rae, Annah, Kam and Grant,

Enchanting, magnificent, spell-binding, blessed, spiritual, captivating, extraordinary.........the list of words could go on and on to describe our experiences swimming with the humpback whales and never really be able to paint the whole picture of just how wonderful our trip was.

After our first encounters the first day swimming with a mother and calf, our trip was already complete (or so we thought). To our delight, we were blessed every day after that with new and wonderful experiences, making each and every day better than the last one. These beautiful creatures treated us to great displays of breaching, playing by the boat showing us their fins, rolling so we could see their bellies, and sharing with us their enchanting song. When the whales shared with us their world, we were able to experience their grace. A very humbling experience. We will never forget the feeling of awe when looking into the eye of a whale - knowing that just as we were imprinting the image of the whale in our memory, the whale was doing the same with us.

A heart-felt thank you to all of you for making a dream come true. "Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away". Thank you for helping us enter a world with the whales where our breath was taken away again and again.....till we meet again.

Rae, Annah, Kam - like everyone before me in this log, to want to add my thanks for creating and hosting this experience. It was wonderful!
I thought of it as a once in a lifetime experience but wonder if I really don't expect to return to visit with the whales; Frederich, Ma'ata & their family; & the 3 of you.
What I'd add to the comments of others are the thanks and encouragement for the wilderness stewardship and commitment implicit in what you are doing. It is important. Who knows, perhaps it will tip and balance someday in favour of these wonderful, enigmatic, gentle, peaceful creatures.
